Some ballots open for just 6 days.

London's window is famously short. Tokyo's lottery comes around once a year. We catch the moment they open, so you don't have to refresh race websites for months.

What's a Ballot vs Registration vs Qualification?

BallotRandom Draw

You apply during a fixed window and are randomly selected. Races like London, Dublin, Sydney, and Valencia use this system. There is no advantage to applying early or late within the window.

RegistrationFirst-Come, First-Served

Registration opens on a set date and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the race is full. Amsterdam, Athens, Paris, Rome, Seville, and Manchester use this model. Speed matters on opening day.

QualificationTime-Based Entry

You must run a qualifying time at an eligible race to earn your place. Boston is the most famous example. Qualifying standards vary by age and gender.

Never Miss a Registration Window

Ballot dates are easy to miss and registration spots sell out fast. Set up a BibsAlert and we'll email you before every key deadline.
